4-Week-Old Bobcat Is Scorched In A Barn Fire, 2 Years Later He Finally Makes A Friend

If you love domestic cats, chances are you also love wild cats!

Sometimes, people mistake this fascination with wild cats and assume that they are like domestic cats and can be kept indoors.

This is not the case, as bobcats are wild cats for a reason and only train professionals can and should interact with them. One bobcat sadly suffered from this situation.

After being taken in by a family as a pet, the bobcat eventually acted in his nature and bit someone in the house, which meant he was given up by the family.

That is where Wildcat Sanctuary in Sandstone, Minnesota stepped in to help. They took the bobcat in to give him a chance to finally act like a bobcat again and be around his own kind!

Not only did they take in this domesticated bobcat, they also rescued a bobcat who had been scorched in a barn fire when he was just 4 weeks old.

The burned little bobcat is now 2 and fully healed, though he has a bit of light sensitivity. The two bobcats cannot be in the wild, but at the sanctuary, they can be together and have a pack of their own.

The two bobcats do not have names currently, but Wildcat Sanctuary is taking suggestions. They hope to name these bobcats after their strengths, rather than their injuries or weaknesses. What name would you suggest?

Please SHARE these new bobcat friends with all of your friends and family on Facebook!
