It’s easy to let our mistakes in life derail us completely, but it shows even more strength to stand right back up and take control for the better.
That’s exactly what the women in the clip below have done after they spent years struggling against hardship before finally focusing on what’s best for them.
Before enrolling at St. Petersburg College in Florida, Kassandra Baylor made some mistakes that caused her to end up in prison and suffered the heartbreaking loss of three of her children. But, as she says herself, “Everyone deserves a second chance.”
This is exactly what the college’s “Women on the Way” program helps their female students achieve by encouraging education and community involvement. They’ve also provided a few lucky students, including Kassandra, with an amazing day of pampering and a free makeover at a local salon.
Kassandra is now studying human services at the school and hopes to be able to provide the same type of help for others once she earns her degree.
Her story is already an inspiration for those struggling like her, but it’s amazing to see that drive to make the world a better place despite how many difficulties she’s had to overcome.
Take a look at the video to hear from another student enjoying her own free makeover and see how she’s also bouncing back with a second chance at the school.
And be sure to SHARE these strong women with your friends and family!
