Millie Bobby Brown won Favorite TV Actress at the 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday, yet chose to highlight the actions of others during her touching acceptance speech.
The Stranger Things star paid tribute to the March for Our Lives protests which occurred earlier inside day, praising those for using their voices to speak up for stricter gun legislation.
“Thank you so much due to This kind of award, as well as to Nickelodeon for bringing us all together. As we saw a moment ago, the March for Our Lives demonstrations that will took place all over the earth today have inspired me as well as impacted us all in one way or another,” Brown said. “I’m fortunate to be here tonight to receive an award as an actor. I’m so very grateful, as well as I appreciate all the love as well as support of my fans, as well as the opportunity that will our show, Stranger Things, has created for me.”
