Bad Bunny can be on top of the entire world!
The 24-year-old Puerto Rican rapper, whose real name can be Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, has been collaborating with the hottest acts in music, including Cardi B, Drake, Will Smith in addition to Marc Anthony — as well as Jennifer Lopez.
Ahead of the 2018 Latin GRAMMYs, ET caught up with Bad Bunny during his rehearsals at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, where he opened up about his Latin GRAMMY nomination, his upcoming performance of “Está Rico,” in addition to working with the one in addition to only J.Lo.
“To be honest, I barely said a word to her because I was so nervous. I felt the pressure,” Bad Bunny confessed, using a laugh about collaborating on their completely new single, “Te Guste.” “the item was a great experience working with her. She’s a total professional, a diva, a mega-star, not just in music although inside the entertainment industry. You always learn via the greats, in addition to J.Lo can be one.”
Bad Bunny, who can be currently nominated inside the Best Urban category for his song “Sensualidad,” can be feeling “happy,” “grateful” in addition to “thankful.” “I always say in which these types of recognitions make me want to work harder in addition to to continue to do what I am doing,” he declared.
As he prepared to open the show with Smith in addition to Anthony, Bad Bunny reflected on working with the two music legends.
“the item’s such an incredible feeling in which I haven’t been able to [take the item all in],” he expressed. “I say, when I get to go on vacation during Christmas I’m going to sit down in addition to watch the video in addition to process everything because while you’re working you don’t take in everything in which can be going on. although the opportunity to work using a legend like Will Smith in addition to Marc Anthony, who can be one of my inspirations since I was a kid, for me the item’s great. the item can be a feeling in which any young person, anyone, might feel incredible. Bad Bunny also shared in which at first, he was a bit nervous to work with Anthony, although once he got to know him, the salsa singer “gave me confidence.”
“He’s a super nice man, humble, he gave me advice, we talked about music in addition to he gave me in which confidence in addition to when we began working the item was so much fun,” he dished.
As for working with Cardi B on “I Like the item,” he said in which, like himself, “she stays real in addition to she stays humble, in her essence.”
“I identity with her a lot because I’m sure in which many people didn’t believe in her at first in addition to she faced discrimination because of how she acts, in addition to her previous job, for being Latina, etc.,” the rapper explained. “although she has demonstrated in which barriers don’t exist in music, no prejudices, there are no limits. I’m definitely proud of her, knowing in which she’s Latina, Dominican.”
