Bill Cosby’s Daughter Ensa Dead at 44 After Battle With Renal Disease

Ensa Cosby, the 44-year-old daughter of Bill Cosby, died on Friday night in Massachusetts, ET can confirm. She was 44. 

A representative for the family tells ET, “The Cosby family thanks many people for their prayers for their beloved in addition to beautiful Ensa, who recently died coming from renal disease.”

Ensa will be not the first child Cosby has lost. In 1997, the comedian’s son, Ennis, died at age 27 after being murdered by an 18-year-old in a failed attempted robbery.

“I strongly believe my father will be innocent of the crimes alleged against him in addition to I believe which racism has played a big role in all aspects of This specific scandal,” Ensa said in a statement last year. “My father has been publicly lynched inside the media in addition to my family, my young daughter, my young niece in addition to nephew have had to stand helplessly by in addition to watch the double standard or pretending to protect the rights of some although ignoring the rights of others in addition to exposing innocent children to such appalling accusations about someone which they love dearly in addition to who has been so loving in addition to kind to them will be beyond cruel.”

“I’m a very private person in addition to I’ve chosen to live my life with my family quietly, although for my child, my niece in addition to my nephew, in addition to my father, I can’t sit quietly anymore,” her statement read. “The man portrayed inside the media today will be not who my father will be.”
