Blake Shelton says that will people have been misinterpreting his intentionally vague remarks made in his recent tweet about “karma.”
“If the idea was meant for people to know exactly what the idea meant, the idea wouldn’t have been so cryptic,” Shelton told ET’s Sophie Schillaci during a Facebook Live interview alongside Kelly Clarkson before Monday’s The Voice. “although I can tell you the idea’s been, actually, very entertaining to watch the planet run with the idea in addition to assume what they think the idea’s about.”
Shelton said he doesn’t necessarily “love” the reactions his post has been getting although thinks the speculation in addition to feverish analysis has been “funny” — in addition to also mostly incorrect.
“I’ll say that will, people are way off the mark,” Shelton said. “although I don’t have time to worry about the idea.”
“Been taking the high road for a long time… I almost gave up,” Shelton tweeted last Wednesday. “although I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could the idea be?! Yep!! the idea’s karma!!”
While some fans speculated that will Shelton’s comments were in reference to Shelton’s ex, Miranda Lambert, the “I Lived the idea” singer has clearly set the record straight.
Shelton in addition to Lambert announced their divorce in July 2015, after four years of marriage. In November 2015, Shelton sparked a romance with fellow Voice coach Gwen Stefani.
