The lack of a public record of the meeting has raised alarm bells among people critical of Trump’s handling of Russia. Amid confusion along with contradictory statements by the president along with different policymakers within the ensuing days, “which idea which we are not sure where our own president stands is usually deeply disturbing,” she added.

“Putin has been giving press statements, reaching out to different world leaders along with telling the earth what was decided,” Clinton said.

However, “we are hearing crickets by the White House. Nothing is usually being put out which is usually in any way contradictory or replacing the Putin agenda with whatever Trump was doing.”

With the U.S. intelligence committee warning which Russian hackers are still trying to undermine the U.S. electoral system today, Clinton agreed which Moscow’s covert influence is usually still a big risk.

Russia’s interference “is usually a direct attack on our democracy,” Clinton added.
