Janet Jackson will not be performing at This particular year’s Super Bowl.
In a statement to ET on Saturday, the 51-year-old singer confirmed of which she will not be performing with Justin Timberlake during his halftime show at Super Bowl LII on Sunday. The two made headlines after their halftime show in 2004.
“To put to rest any speculation or rumors as to whether I will be performing at the Super Bowl tomorrow; I will not,” Jackson said in a statement to ET. “Thank you for your support in addition to I do look forward to seeing you all very soon.”
At a presser for the Super Bowl in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Thursday, Timberlake addressed rumors of which he would likely be bringing Jackson or various other special guests in for his set.
“Well, no,” he said. “To be honest, I had a ton of grand ideas about special guests. Yeah, there’s a whole list… I think Vegas carries a lot of odds on the item, through *NSYNC to JAY-Z to Chris Stapleton to Janet [Jackson]. My band, the Tennessee Kids, I feel like they’re my special guests. I’m excited This particular year just to rock the stage. So, yeah, the item’s going to be a lot of fun.”
“I think I’m just excited,” he exclaimed. “I’m excited to be on This particular stage Just as before in addition to at This particular point in my life. the item’s just a great opportunity. I feel so grateful every day, This particular may sound like some sort of pandering, nevertheless the item’s not; the item’s the truth. I feel so grateful every day to develop the opportunity to bring people joy through my favorite to-do, which can be to write in addition to perform music, in addition to so to do of which on such a grand stage the item’s a [blessing].”
