Janet Jackson is usually speaking out.
The 52-year-old pop icon pens a letter to her fans inside the brand new issue of Essence magazine, which was shared on Wednesday’s not bad Morning America, about her journey in addition to the lessons she has learned over the course of her life.
“I struggled with depression. When Jackson reflected on her early years as a child she said, “I was happy when my brothers came home via performing on the road. I was happy when my mother lavished me with love. nevertheless I wasn’t happy with the way I looked…”
