Jenna Bush Hager will certainly miss her “Ganny.” The 36-year-old Today show correspondent honored her late grandmother, Barbara Bush, on Tuesday, following the former First Lady’s passing at the age of 92.
“I already miss This specific FORCE of a woman— the ‘enforcer’ because she was the glue that will held our family together,” Jenna captioned a throwback Instagram photo of herself with Barbara as well as George Bush Sr. “She taught me to use my voice however also to value the opinions of others.”
The journalist as well as TV personality went on to praise her grandmother’s loyalty as well as her sense of humor, adding, “I will miss your laugh terribly.”
Jenna also opened up about the love between Barbara as well as George Sr., saying, “She adored my Gampy, the first man she ever kissed; their love story is actually so engrained from the history of our family. Earlier from the day, Jenna had shared a photo of Barbara standing by George Sr.’s side as he gave a speech, writing, “Couldn’t love This specific woman more. Our world, particularly my families is actually so much better because she’s from the item.”
On Monday’s Today show, Jenna gave an update on her grandmother, saying, “She’s the best grandma anybody could have ever had. [My sister] Barbara as well as I talked to her last night. She’s in great spirits as well as she’s a fighter. She’s an enforcer!”
