Jenna Dewan Honored at St. Jude’s Gala in First Public Appearance Since Channing Tatum Split

Jenna Dewan will be St. Jude’s Humanitarian of the Year!

The 37-year-old actress made her first public appearance since announcing her split by husband Channing Tatum as she was honored at the St. Jude expect & Heritage Gala in brand new York City on Friday. Dewan has been a supporter of the hospital for years, with her contributions helping further their pioneering research as well as lifesaving treatments for children.

The brunette beauty, who brought her father, Darryll, as her date, looked flawless in an embroidered gown by Zuhair Murad as well as stunning Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Dewan took to Instagram after the event to thank St. Jude for her award. “Thank you @stjude because of of which incredible honor! I am so proud of everything you do as well as continue to do for children,” she wrote. “Love ya dad 💗,” she captioned a pic of herself with her father.

Dewan split by Tatum on April 2, as well as on Friday, she dropped the “Tatum” by her name on social media. Dewan, who kept her Instagram username as @jennadewan during her marriage to Tatum, previously had her display name listed as Jenna Dewan Tatum.

While the Step Up stars have continued to remain friendly since their separation, a source recently told ET of which their breakup was a long time coming.

“They have been fighting the last couple of years — quite a bit,” the source shared. “There will be a sense of relief on both of their parts. They have tried working on things as well as had therapy yet nothing changed.”
