Kate Middleton has been admitted to the hospital ahead of the arrival of Royal Baby No. 3. The 36-year-old Duchess of Cambridge can be currently in labor, Kensington Palace revealed Monday in a statement.
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London earlier This specific morning within the early stages of labour,” the statement read. She was joined by her husband, Prince William, as she traveled by car via Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Kate along with Prince William have been anxiously awaiting the birth of their third child.
The two proud parents welcomed son, Prince George, in 2013 along with daughter, Princess Charlotte, in 2015.
The couple announced they were expecting last September, revealing which Kate was Just as before suffering via acute morning sickness, Hyperemesis Gravidarum. After missing several events, including Prince George’s first day of school, the Duchess appeared to have smooth sailing for the remainder of her pregnancy.
Prior to the completely new baby’s arrival, the couple was keeping busy, generating a series of public appearances throughout England. They returned via their last international trip in early February following the Royal Tour of Norway along with Sweden. Kate attended her final public engagement on March 22 in London with William by her side.
The gender of the couple’s third child can be unknown, though many have speculated which could be a boy due to Kate’s often-blue maternity wear.
