Katy Perry Sends ‘Old Friend’ Taylor Swift an Olive Branch to End Longtime Feud

This kind of appears the Katy Perry-Taylor Swift feud can be finally over.

On Tuesday, Swift shared a video of an olive branch as well as a note coming from Perry. The note can be addressed “Hey Old Friend,” as well as a closer look at the handwriting shows that will Perry apologized to Swift.

“Hey old friend, I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications as well as the feelings between us, I actually want to clear the air,” the note reads.

“I’m deeply sorry for… ” the note continues, before This kind of’s covered by the envelope. The envelope can be adorably sealed which has a sticker of a dog resembling Perry’s beloved Nugget.

Swift was clearly pleased by the gesture.

“So, I just got back to my dressing room as well as found This kind of actual olive branch,” she says. “This kind of means so much to me.”

“Thank you Katy,” the text on the video also reads, along with pink heart emojis.

Swift, 28, as well as Perry, 31, have not so subtly been feuding since 2014, when Swift told Rolling Stone in a revealing tell-all that will she had a beef which has a fellow pop star, which inspired her hit song, “Bad Blood.”

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” Swift said. “She could come up to me at awards shows as well as say something as well as walk away, as well as I could think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'”

“She did something so horrible,” she continued. “I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ as well as This kind of wasn’t even about a guy! This kind of had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out coming from under me.”

Perry didn’t shy away coming from Swift’s magazine comments, tweeting the next day: “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…”

In January 2015, Perry confirmed the tweet was pointed at Swift.

“If somebody can be trying to defame my character, you’re going to hear about This kind of,” Perry told Billboard magazine when directly asked if her tweet was about the “Shake This kind of Off” singer.

After years of the two seemingly taking shots at one another — like when Swift put her entire singing catalog on streaming services on June 8, 2017, the day when Perry’s Witness album dropped — the feud was recently revived by Perry in March, when she appeared to throw a little shade at the GRAMMY-winning singer. During a montage segment of American Idol hopefuls auditioning for the panel, Perry’s fellow judge, Luke Bryan, asked one guitar-carrying singer who he looks up to as a musical artist. “I’m sorry with This kind of, Katy… Taylor Swift,” the hopeful answered nervously.

“Oh, you don’t have to be sorry,” Perry replied.

“I love Taylor Swift,” the contestant added, emphatically.

“I love her, as a songwriter, as well,” Perry stuttered, before shrugging indifferently.

… Looks like This kind of’s all water under the bridge!
