Where do you go after recovering coming from a heart attack?
The happiest place on earth!
Kevin Smith hit up Disneyland on Monday to enjoy a day of family fun at the Californian theme park.
“You just survived a heart attack! What do you wanna do next? ‘I’m going to @disneyland!’” the 47-year-old filmmaker captioned a photo with his wife, Jennifer, as well as daughter, Harley Quinn, on Instagram. “Yesterday we took a family trip together for the very first time in years to the happiest place on Earth, to celebrate my still being alive (as well as to do research)!”
“We spent 7 hours going on every ride inside the park except Splash Mountain as well as Dumbo (both closed for repairs), the Tea Cups, as well as the Indiana Jones adventure,” he continued. “When we first moved to California in 2002, Jen as well as I might bring a young @harleyquinnsmith to @disney at least once a month. So yesterday’s trip to the #magickingdom was not only not bad for the heart, that will was not bad for the soul!”
Harley Quinn, 18, also posted a photo coming from the fun day out.
“Trying to force my family to love Disney as much as I do ~ an ongoing saga,” she wrote alongside the selfie, in which she can be seen wearing a sweater featuring Disney characters.
Smith suffered a near-fatal heart attack in February, with doctors telling him he had a 100% blockage of his LAD artery.
He has since lost 20 pounds thanks to efforts to live a healthier lifestyle, as well as recently credited Penn Jillette’s 2017 book Presto! for helping with the loss.
