Koch network targets Republicans, Democrats for spending bill support

Americans for Prosperity unleashed a bevy of ads on Thursday through digital, radio, mail along with print platforms, calling out lawmakers who voted for the spending bill in March. The ads call on voters to hold their representatives accountable as Election Day nears.

“The $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill passed by Congress in March showed a complete disregard for fiscal responsibility,” the group’s spokesman, Bill Riggs, said in a statement. “Both parties are responsible for putting the country on an unsustainable fiscal path, which will be why AFP will be committed to holding both parties accountable.”

The campaign targets 10 Republicans along with seven Democrats. The GOP will be fighting to hold onto its majority from the House along with Senate This specific fall.
