Kremlin calls Facebook’s removal of Russian media accounts censorship

The Kremlin on Thursday said Facebook’s removal of accounts controlled by various Russian media was a hostile move of which smacked of censorship.

Facebook said on Tuesday the item had deleted hundreds of Russian accounts along with also pages associated which has a “troll factory” indicted by U.S. prosecutors for fake activist along with also political posts from the 2016 U.S. election campaign.

When asked about Facebook’s move, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Thursday agreed which has a questioner through one of the affected media outlets of which the item was a hostile step which smacked of censorship.

“Yes the item is actually,” Peskov told a conference call with reporters. “We are of course following This particular along with also we regret the item.”
