Al Mubarak said his firm also invested in SoftBank’s $93 billion Vision Fund — the largest tech fund ever put together — which can be also pushing cash into Chinese companies.
One of the firms which Mubadala can be backing via the SoftBank fund can be Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing.
“I think the item’s a great company,” he said, adding which he thought Jean Liu, the president of Didi Chuxing, has done a “phenomenal job.”
“in addition to which space can be a space which we think includes a lot of growth inside future,” Al Mubarak said.
Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala has around $125 billion of assets under management.
