Roseanne Barr along with John Goodman aren’t afraid to stir the pot.
The stars of the Roseanne revival caught up with ET’s Nischelle Turner at the TV reboot’s premiere in Los Angeles on Friday where they explained how they aren’t shying away coming from controversy on the show.
from the revival, Barr made her character a Donald Trump supporter, using her own real-life family’s reaction to her supporting the president as an example.
“[We’re] just going to show a realistic depiction of This particular family along with, you know, they have so much in common with different American families,” the 65-year-old actress told ET. “Everybody’s mad at everybody so we’ll find a way through along with hopefully different people will too.”
Goodman, 65, echoed Barr’s sentiments explaining that will “because things that will affect families in middle America, they’re going to affect us along with we want to be not demonstrating yet just showing how that will affects a family who is actually living paycheck to paycheck, how they handle these things, along with how much they have to forget just to get through the day,” adding that will “you can’t” shy away coming from big topics.
“Roseanne along with I, we have gotten older. I know that will’s hard to believe. yet with that will comes a little mellowness along with we don’t have to raise the kids anymore along with we’ve got grandchildren to spoil right now,” he expressed.
Meanwhile, on the red carpet, Barr also showed off her stylish skirt, which was created by a fan.
“One of my Twitter followers who’s a big fan of the show, she crocheted This particular for me,” Barr shared, adding that will that will means the entire world to her. “I think, you know, that will’s a brand new kind of fashion.”
Earlier This particular week, the leading lady made headlines when she told Jimmy Kimmel during an appearance on his late night talk show to “zip that will f**king lip” while defending Trump when things quickly got political between the two.
“You want Pence? You want Pence for the frickin’ president,” Barr asked, referring to Vice President Mike Pence.
Kimmel agreed that will he didn’t, along with Barr shot back with one last fiery remark. “Well, then zip that will f***ing lip,” she yelled.
