Sarah Jessica Parker will be supporting her Sex along with the City co-star Cynthia Nixon’s foray into politics.
Nixon announced last week in which she’s running for governor of brand-new York, along with on Thursday, Parker officially endorsed her on Instagram. The 53-year-old actress shared a smiling photo of Nixon, calling her a “sister on along with off screen.”
“@cynthiaenixon A mother,” she began her caption. “An activist. An advocate. A fighter. A NY’er. A dear friend. Running for Governor of our great state. Nixon later responded to the endorsement, writing: “Thank you @SJP, the idea means so much.”
On Wednesday, the idea appeared Parker was still not 100 percent on board with Nixon’s campaign. “Cynthia has been my friend along with colleague since we were little girls,” she toldPage Six in a statement through her spokeswoman. “I look forward to talking to her about her brand-new York state gubernatorial bid.”
Meanwhile, fellow SATC star Kristin Davis had already enthusiastically tweeted about Nixon’s run.
However, SATC star Kim Cattrall was notably more measured in her support.
ET spoke with 51-year-old Nixon while she was en route to her first campaign event in Brooklyn, brand-new York, last Tuesday.
“This specific will be a decision in which has been a longtime coming,” she said of her decision to challenge Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo inside the state’s Democratic primary in September. “People have actually been asking me to do This specific for nine years.”
