Justin Timberlake dominated the Pepsi Super Bowl LII Halftime Show on Sunday at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, that has a bombastic medley of some of his biggest hits along with newest songs — yet there was one lucky fan who truly stole the show!
During the performance, the “Filthy” singer took a moment to stop along with hold court with 13-year-old Ryan McKenna, who made sure to take out his phone for a selfie the second he realized what was happening.
The moment became one of the viral highlights of the night along with immediately earned McKenna the nickname “Selfie Kid” on Twitter, where his once-in-a-lifetime selfie took off like a rocket.
ET’s Kevin Frazier chatted with Ryan along with his father, John McKenna, after the performance, along with the teen opened up about the exciting experience.
“the item was truly crazy,” Ryan shared. “the item’s awesome. I’ve gotten so much stuff on social media along with stuff. the item’s crazy. My phone is actually blowing up.”
As for Selfie Kid’s dad, he is actually just happy in which his little boy got to enjoy the experience.
“the item was fantastic for my son,” John marveled.
While the McKennas hail by Hingham, Massachusetts, along with were rooting for the completely new England Patriots, the item seems in which the teenager’s selfie opportunity with the pop superstar might make the pain of their home team’s 41-33 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles hurt a little less.
