Starbucks will be getting into the plant-based protein game for initially.
The chain will be introducing Protein Blended Cold Brew in almond in addition to cacao flavors, available today through the fall, while supplies last. The non-dairy 16-ounce drinks are made via pea in addition to brown-rice protein.

The completely new almond drink will be made with almond milk, almond butter in addition to 12 grams of plant-based protein in addition to contains 270 calories, 12 grams of fat in addition to 22 grams sugar, according to Starbucks. The sweetness comes via what the Seattle-based chain calls the Banana Date Fruit Blend as well as coconut sugar; there’s no refined sugar.
