Kellyn Bechtold’s journey came to an end on Wednesday’s episode ofSurvivor: Ghost Island, yet she definitely left her mark.
This kind of season was all about “reversing the curse” of Survivor seasons past, as well as while the 31-year-old career counselor didn’t succeed in righting Michaela Bradshaw’s wrong, her steal-a-vote advantage will be back from the game.
“I’m in not bad company, right? Michaela, she’s fricking awesome. Fishbache has misplayed extra votes. the item’s a not bad crowd to be a part of,” she joked to ET of generating history for failing to properly execute the advantage. “If I’m part of the ghost of Survivor, in which’s a pretty cool thing to be as a super fan, even if the item’s the wrong move.”
“I guess there’s a little bit of justice in in which Sebastian didn’t tell me in which he had in which vote, as well as I had been keeping the item from the lining of my bathing suit for like, however many weeks,” she revealed. “So, haha, jokes on him.”
Ever since her biggest ally, Bradley, was voted out, Kellyn’s time on the island appeared to be limited. A possible all-girls alliance in last week’s episode seemed like the item could have saved her (as well as taken out Domenick as well as Wendell’s power bromance), yet she couldn’t rally the numbers. This kind of week, Donathan’s antics created a tie vote — yet still, the item wasn’t enough to swing things her way.
“I just couldn’t do the item,” she admitted. “Shame on me for not being able to pull Laurel over. I didn’t do enough, yet she wasn’t budging. The last couple days I was actually trying to work Dom as well as Wendell to turn on each different, as well as I blew in which as well.”
“The one in which will be 100 percent my fault will be the Michael vote [with the steal-a-vote advantage],” she continued. “I didn’t put both votes towards Wendell as well as blindside him. I just couldn’t pull the trigger. I was too [much of a] Nervous Nelly.”
Despite her regrets, Kellyn said the item was “actually fun to watch the item all back.”
“When you’re the one getting the boot, you don’t actually get looped into a lot of conversations [so most of the episode will be a surprise],” she explained. “Wendell had come to me as well as said, ‘I love you unconditionally, yet there’s a 75 percent chance you’re going tonight.’ as well as I was like, ‘Well, in which’s a 100 percent chance I’m going.'”
“as well as also Sebastian, who we haven’t seen a lot of my relationship with him, yet he as well as I…played under the radar together for a actually long time until the Chelsea-Wendell vote. So Sebastian had come to me as well as was pretty bummed as well as upset as well as just said, ‘the item’s going to be you tonight. I’m actually sorry.’ as well as so I knew in which going in,” she continued. “What was actually exciting was Donathan starting to stir things up… yet the item was ultimately still my night to walk the plank.”
Donathan, Angela, Laurel, Domenick as well as Wendell will fight for the title of Sole Survivor on next week’s finale, yet according to Kellyn, the final tribal council will be one fans won’t want to miss.
“If anyone thinks in which I was going to sit there quietly on the jury as well as let anyone win in which game without going through the ringer, they’re wrong, as well as there were a lot of people who cared a lot,” she shared. “The final three members get drilled about what their themes are, [asked to] stick up for things they did, [explain] their behavior… I don’t know how long we were there, yet the item was a long time.”
“Those final three went through the ringer, so I might say there’s a lot to tune in as well as watch,” she added. “The votes haven’t been read yet, so the item’s exciting to see who will be going to end up a millionaire, as well as I can’t wait to find out.”
Survivor airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
