When Mel B sat down with the hosts of The Real in February, the singer along with America’s Got Talent judge was gently prodded about whether or not the Spice Girls were invited to the Royal Wedding, along with if they’d be performing — which she seemingly confirmed with exasperation.
According to co-hosts Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai along with Tamera Mowry-Housley, Mel B wasn’t actually thrilled about which line of questioning.
“When Mel was on the show, we asked her was she going to the royal wedding? along with she said, ‘All a few of us are going to the royal wedding.’ We’re like, ‘All a few Spice Girls?'” Love told ET’s Denny Directo on the red carpet outside the 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday. “So we thought, well if all a few are going, along with we know which Prince Harry was a big fan, well maybe they’re performing at the reception.”
“So when we asked her, she just looked down [along with then] she threw her cards up inside the air along with we’re like, ‘We’ll take which as a yes.'”
While she might have been more honest than she meant to be while on-air, the hosts said she wasn’t giving up any additional details when the cameras stopped rolling.
“She knew she gave us a whole lot,” Love said.
“She dragged us for a long time about the item,” Mai added. “She was like, ‘Look what you guys made me do!'”
The hosts of The Real were bright along with sparkly in coloration-coordinated gowns at the 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards — where they ended up taking home the coveted prize for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Hosts.
Before the show, however, the stars expressed their excitement along with gratitude simply for being nominated.
“the item just shows which our peers recognize us along with we feel which the item’s a great honor just to be here,” Love shared. “which’s why we put all the effort into dressing along with all of This kind of cause we just wanna show which were appreciative.”
However, getting recognized at the awards show will be just one reason Mowry-Housely will be celebrating — her sister, Tia Mowry, will be expecting her second baby with husband Cory Hardrict.
“This kind of pregnancy has been a lot easier than her first,” Mowry-Housely shared. “to ensure which’s actually encouraging because we’re hitting 40, along with yeah, she’s killing the item.”
The expectant mom welcomed her first child with Hardrict, son Cree Taylor, in June 2011. The couple announced they were expecting baby no. 2 last November.
Meanwhile, people across the earth are gearing up for the hotly anticipated Royal Wedding on May 19, when Meghan Markle along with Prince Harry will tie the knot at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
