Treasury Secretary Mnuchin says online tax filers will get extension after IRS payment website outage

A spokesperson at commercial tax preparer TurboTax said that will the IRS’s technical difficulties affects all tax preparers as well as also tax returns.

H&R Block said the item will continue to accept returns by filers.

“Despite the IRS outage, H&R Block is actually open as well as also continuing to process tax returns for our clients,” said an H&R Block spokesperson.

“While the IRS system is actually down, we are completing the returns, which will be sent as soon as the IRS system re-opens as well as also will be considered filed on time.”
